If you really want to escape the noise, confusion and
disruption of civilization your trip on Cadron Creek come camp on our river. There is nothing like a night on the river as you are lulled into dreamland by the warm glow of a dying campfire and the mesmeric sound of the river. And what could be better than waking up in the morning to the smell of bacon and the sound of the river luring you into your canoe to begin a day of paddling, swimming, fishing and sight-seeing. |

Pinnacle Springs Campground
This 10 acre campground literally sits on an island giving each campsite immediate access to Cadron
Creek. The campsites are laid out under a deep canopy of hardwoods and tall pines. Trails meander through the campsites to nearby swimming holes and vistas. This is the most accessible--and most developed--of all of our campgrounds and is thus our busiest. Each campsite has a picnic table, tent site, lamp pole, fire pit and grill. Running water, pit toilets, firewood and a pavillion are available. Toiletries and camping supplies can be purchased at the office and there is a separate picnic area near the fish pond. |

Batesville Mountain Campground
This campground sits high on a ridge overlooking Cadron Creek under a canopy of towering pine trees.
This campground is accessble by car (via a 4 mile gravel road) but is otherwise off the beaten trail. This campground is used by those seeking privacy or wishing to put together a multi-day float trip. From the campground the creek is reached by a stone path that traverses the hillside and is literally cut into the bluffs overlooking the creek. Near the creek one can find a separate picnic and camping area that is used by paddlers floating the upper stretches of Cadron Creek. Trails meander along the creek to nearby waterfalls, bluffs and overlooks. Each campsite has a picnic table, tent site, fire pit and grill. A two-seater pit toilet serves the campground. |

River Camp #1
This campground can only be reached by canoe and is used by paddlers wishing a multi-day
excursion. The campsite is located 5 miles below Pinnacle Springs Campground. This is a primitive campsite offering nothing more than a tent site, fire pit and grill--and of course plenty of peace and quiet. If you really want to get away from it all this is certainly a good start. |
